Our instructor is Ed Brackett. Ed's a registered Maine Sea Kayaking Guide with 25 years of open boating experience. His certifications include: Open Water ACA instructor, First Aid & CPR, Adaptive Paddler Endorsement and former EMT and Search and Rescue Instructor. Most of all, his smile and sense of humor will put you at ease on the water!

Introduction to Kayaking

Learn how to choose your kayak, paddle and PFD. Address the issues of boat loading, water safety and proper clothing. Feel confident knowing your strokes, wet exit and assisted rescues. 6 hours $70 p.p.

Coastal Kayaking

Add to your skills with basic navigation, communication, self-rescue and additional strokes. Learn about wind and waves, tides and currents. 8 hrs. $100 p.p.

Open Water Kayaking

Advance your skills to include: advanced strokes, navigation with chart and compass, signaling, multi-rescues and trip planning. Two days $125 p.p.
